Rensburg Sheppards changes name to Investec Wealth & Investment

Rensburg Sheppards Investment Management (“Rensburg Sheppards”) is pleased to announce that from today it is adopting the new name of Investec Wealth & Investment (“IW&I”). The change follows positive feedback from staff across the business about the Investec brand, subsequent to the full acquisition last year of Rensburg Sheppards by Investec plc.

Although the firm’s name will change, our core philosophy and approach - to offer clients a bespoke personal service of the highest quality - will remain absolutely at the heart of the business. Part of a financially strong FTSE 100 group since June 2010, when Rensburg Sheppards became fully part of Investec, our investment managers can now look forward to the additional benefit of a very well-regarded and supported brand. For clients and employees alike, this marks a significant and exciting development.

Commenting on the news, Jonathan Wragg, UK Chief Executive of Investec Wealth & Investment said:
“The name Investec Wealth & Investment will be synonymous with the enduring values and modern methods that have allowed our business to thrive over many years. In addition the change of brand also presents us with new opportunities to grow, as part of a FTSE 100 group that is committed to developing our business. After working in association with Investec for several years, we are proud to be adopting their name.”

Steve Elliott, Global Head of Investec Wealth & Investment added:

“Offering clients a service that is out of the ordinary lies at the heart of the Investec brand and that is fundamentally what Rensburg Sheppards has always been about. With the support of our clients, our staff and Investec, I am confident our new brand will command a strong presence in the market.”
